Last updated October 14, 2026. Wayfarer is an early trip-planning service operated by Reece Harding (United States). Contact: hello@wayfarertravel.xyz.

What we collect

  • Google sign-in email and name for account access.
  • Planner messages and saved conversation history.
  • Travel preferences saved in the account knowledge base.
  • Trip briefs and traveler answers submitted through a trip invitation.
  • Waitlist email, if you choose to join the waitlist.
  • Basic server logs and usage counters used to operate the service and limit abuse.

Trip invitations

A trip owner can create an invitation link that lets a guest see a small trip summary and submit trip preferences. Anyone with that link can use it until it expires after 14 days or the owner revokes it. Guests should only share the link with the intended traveler. Their submitted name, optional email, dates, budget, priorities, and constraints are visible to the trip owner and are used as context when the owner plans that trip.

Guest answers stay separate from the owner's private account knowledge base. Trip owners can revoke links and delete trip workspaces and their responses.

Who processes it

Planner messages and relevant trip details are sent to the AI model provider configured for the service to generate responses. The app currently supports Google Gemini, OpenRouter, OpenCode, and Anthropic; availability and fallback depend on deployment configuration. Do not include information you would not want the configured provider to process.

Trip and place lookups may also be sent to Google Search through Gemini, OpenStreetMap Photon and OSRM services, SerpApi for requested flight or hotel searches, and Open-Meteo for weather. Site hosting and private application storage are provided by Vercel.

Storage and deletion

Saved chats, account preferences, trip briefs, and guest responses are stored server-side in private application storage. Deleting a trip removes it from the app and revokes its invitation links. To request account or waitlist removal, email hello@wayfarertravel.xyz. Provider infrastructure may retain operational logs or backups according to its own terms.

What we do not do

We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or collect payment details. Do not enter passport numbers, payment details, or other sensitive information in the planner or an invitation form.
